Energy Studio: a glimpse of solar, battery and EV charging over a Queensland day.
Energy Studio is a concept demo, a storyboard of what AI for engineering could look like for home and small-business energy. Choose solar panels, roof direction, battery size, export limit and an EV charging approach, then play an illustrative Queensland day and watch sunshine flow to the house, the battery, the car and the grid. It is a picture of what is possible, not a sizing tool or a product for sale.

A concept storyboard with an illustrative sky, a generic battery and simplified assumptions. It does not size a system, predict savings or confirm what a network will allow. Real systems need a licensed design and network approval. Rates are illustrative demonstration figures, not quotes or rebate estimates. Nothing is sent anywhere; any changes you make are kept only in this browser.
What Energy Studio shows.
Following the energy through a day.
The storyboard steps through one illustrative day and shows where the solar goes: into the house, the battery, the car or back to the grid. Try a north, east or west roof, a bigger or smaller battery, or a tighter export limit, and the story of the day changes with it.
Strategy, not just size.
Charge the EV on solar surplus, during the day or overnight, and compare how the day plays out. The assumptions sit on screen in plain view, and an equipment list carries editable illustrative allowances.
Things to play with
Shape the system
Change the panel count, roof direction and battery size, from none to 30 kWh.
Pick a charging approach
Compare solar-surplus, daytime and overnight EV charging against an export limit.
Add the pump load
Bring the Water Studio pump cycle into the day and see where its energy comes from.
Built on the Sunshine Coast, for Queensland work.
Rooftop solar is everywhere on the Sunshine Coast, and the next questions are batteries, EVs and export limits. Energy Studio is set on a Queensland day to imagine how AI could help local homes and businesses see those trade-offs before they talk to an installer.
The studios are storyboards of what could be, not products for sale. If one of them sparks an idea for your business, the useful next step is a conversation about what AI could do for the way you work.
The other studios.
-
Network StudioA storyboard of an office drawing becoming a 3D structured cabling and Wi-Fi design, with a bill of materials that follows. -
Water StudioA storyboard of a rainwater tank, pump and irrigation zones, showing how design choices could play out in pressure, flow and cost. - All Engineering Studios, the intro film and the 2-minute guided tour
